SEC: Stepped Up Enforcement, Disclosures and Risk...What Directors Need to Know

Date Start End Location   Event Registration
02 Mar 2010 11:30 AM 1:30 PM Crescent Hotel - Gallery Ballroom
Dallas, TX 75201
Registration has ended.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is focused on recreating itself with stepped up attention  on enforcement, greater proxy disclosures and other new target areas with the creation of  the Division of Risk, Strategy, and Financial Innovation.  Its image is tarnished with the financial collapses, trading scandals and uncovered frauds.  How is the SEC responding with new approaches to enforcement?  What does this mean for corporate America and how should directors be prepared or react?

Susan Markel, former Chief Accountant of the division of Enforcement with the SEC and Managing Partner DC office, Alix Partners, Rose Romero, Regional Director of the SEC’s Fort Worth District office, and Richard Roper, former US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas and now partner with Thompson and Knight, will explore these questions and more.

Moderated by William ("Bill") Banowsky, Partner at Thompson & Knight, LLP.

Please join us for this luncheon program.
